T4A.org’s T4A Goes to Washington precipitates Glassdoor-Office of the Vice President partnership

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

July 8, 2014

San Francisco, Calif. – T4A.org Convening Board member Allyson Willoughby (GC of Glassdoor), Robert Hohman (CEO of Glassdoor), and members of the Glassdoor executive and data teams recently hit DC for a series of meetings with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Glassdoor participated in the 21st Century Jobs Data Jam, “which assembled executives, data scientists, technologists, product experts and public sector representatives to develop solutions to help Americans find the right jobs, and access the right training to “skill up” into better paying positions.”

The company also demoed for the Vice President a “new, interactive job search tool to help Americans everywhere (both those employed and unemployed) discover where job openings in their particular field are located, near and far.”

The tool was the result of our meeting with OVP and the Vice President during our T4A Goes to Washington trip in April!

About T4A.org

T4A.org is a recognized 501(c)(3) organization, which is creating a network of entrepreneurs committed to redefining the public/private sector relationship. At our TechTables, we bring our Board members together with a “Convening Guest” from the public sector (e.g. member of Congress, U.S. Senator, governor, mayor, thought leader, etc.). It is an educational experience for both sides as the private sector learns about the specific challenges the public sector faces, while the public sector is provided a flow of innovative ideas and solutions from entrepreneurial leaders. Each TechTable ends with a discussion of potential areas of continued partnership and collaboration between our Board and the Convening Guest. We believe that as we develop world-class public/private partnerships, we will help spur creative and collaborative solutions to benefit all Americans.
